The streets of Cleethorpes may no longer be lined with people and Binbot the giant luminous pink robot may not be on parade with Fire Bird today, but the party is not yet over for this years Cleethorpes Carnival!

This Friday 24th July chief sponsors Young’s Seafood Limited are welcoming all carnival participants and attendees to come along to Memorial Hall in Cleethorpes for this year’s Carnival Award Ceremony. The Ceremony will take place from 6.30pm with doors opening at 6pm.

Young’s Seafood Limited CEO, Pete Ward, who will be presenting the carnival awards commented: “This year’s carnival has been truly fantastic, we raised more money for charity than ever before and had an incredible turnout. I want to thank everyone who took part, everyone who worked so hard to organise the carnival, all the people from across the country who attended and of course, all the sponsors. The Cleethorpes Carnival is a wonderful community event and I know all the staff at Young’s Seafood Limited are so proud to be a part of it.”

This year’s carnival was a resounding success, with a record-breaking 40,000 people coming out into the sunshine to enjoy the spectacular parade and an incredible £4,500 raised for charity. The new Young’s Seafood Limited ambassador, Malcolm the Cat was the cat’s pyjamas in the parade and all of the acts thrilled the crowds.

Now it is time to celebrate the wonderful people who made the 40th Cleethorpes Carnival the biggest and best yet, the participants. So make sure you join the Cleethorpes Prince and Princess this Friday at Memorial Hall.
