With the 2015 Cleethorpes Carnival only weeks away, the chief sponsors, Young’s Seafood Limited are announcing yet another new act to the already incredible Carnival line-up. On Saturday 18th July, for the first time in Cleethorpes, the magnificent Fire Bird will be taking to the streets as part of the Carnival parade!

The spectacular, giant Fire Bird rears up to 5m tall, breathes a fountain of sparks and will parade through Cleethorpes accompanied by a stunning lighting show and upbeat soundtrack. The mechanical bird is one of a kind and will have local residents and visitors alike flocking to Cleethorpes to watch the display.

Marina Richardson, Marketing Controller at Young’s Seafood Limited said: “This is the 40th year of the Carnival and we wanted to make it extra special so we have a host of new and exciting acts including the incredible Fire Bird. The Cleethorpes Carnival is such a wonderful and important community event and all the staff at Young’s Seafood Limited are delighted to have continued the tradition, with a few new flourishes.”

Sue Popper, Co-founder of Joogleberry Acts, representing Fire Bird, commented: “Joogleberry Acts is thrilled to be bringing the Fire Bird to the Cleethorpes Carnival this year. This fabulous mythical creature rears up to 5 meters tall and is going to wow everyone at the event for sure, we can’t wait to be there to see it!”

To make sure you don’t miss out on seeing this Fire-breathing phenomenon, arrive at the Sidney Park annex at the junction of Ward Street and Brereton Avenue before the 3.30pm parade start.

As well as featuring the fantastic Fire Bird, this year the Cleethorpes Carnival will again host the Continental Market, which will run from Thursday 16th July through to Sunday 19th July. The market, brought to Cleethorpes by Marketplace Europe, will feature delicious dishes from across the world, with culinary delights from as far afield as Morocco, Greece, Holland, Germany, Spain, and Thailand. The Market will also sell goods and merchandise from all corners of the globe, including footwear, scarves, jewellery, craftware, musical instruments and an array of fabulous fabrics and other gifts.
