On Saturday, the streets of Cleethorpes came alive as people flocked in their thousands to witness one of the Community’s favourite traditions. With over 70 floats in the parade and entertainment from acts like Dress Circle, Saurus and Bloco Flogo, the Carnival went above and beyond the record-breaking success of last year.
This Friday 22nd July, main sponsors Young’s Seafood Limited are welcoming all Carnival participants and attendees to come along to Memorial Hall in Cleethorpes for this year’s Carnival Award Ceremony. Doors open at 6pm, with the event starting at 6.30. In a short ceremony, the Parade’s best participants will be rewarded with trophies and certificates for all their efforts over the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Young’s Seafood Limited Carnival Organising Committee, said:
“We are delighted that last weekend’s Cleethorpes Carnival was such a huge success. The Carnival is one the area’s greatest traditions and we are proud that Young’s Seafood Limited could again be involved.
Young’s would like to say a huge thank-you to the local sponsors, the hardworking volunteers, the Carnival organisers and, of course, all the participants, for making Saturday’s event so successful.”
