Young’s Seafood, the UK’s leading fish and seafood company, has announced that it has renewed its sponsorship of the Great Grimsby 10K race for 2023.

The sponsorship marks the eighth consecutive year that Young’s has supported the event, having first become involved in 2016. The race starts from the iconic Grimsby Town Hall at 9am and is an inclusive event available to all ages and abilities.

Open to runners over the age of 15, the 10km route is flat and fast, leading runners through main roads in the town, before finishing at the historic Victorian People’s Park in the centre of Grimsby.

Marina Richardson, marketing controller at Young’s said: “We’ve been sponsoring the Great Grimsby 10k since its inception and we’re proud to continue our involvement with this fantastic event and contribute to the positive impact it has on the region.

“Grimsby has been home to Young’s for more than fifty years and it is a huge part of our legacy, which is why supporting the local community is so important to our business. This year, colleagues from Young’s will be taking part in the 10K and we look forward to cheering on friends, family and neighbours alike.”

Nicola Pattinson, managing director of the event organiser Tape2tape said: “Young’s is a major part of Grimsby and we are delighted to have received its support over the years as one of our key sponsors.

“Not only is it a great event which brings the town together, the 10k also raises thousands of pounds for worthy causes each year with an incredible £16,000 raised for charity at last year’s event. We’re incredibly proud of the Great Grimsby 10k and grateful to all those who support it each year.”
